GoatLab
This Privacy Policy explains how Wolff Labs LLC, a New York limited liability company that operates GoatLab ("GoatLab," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit, create an account on, or make a purchase through our games, websites, and apps, including goat-lab.app, pitchergami.com, and their subdomains (such as pitchinglab.pitchergami.com and squad.goat-lab.app), and the GoatLab app for iOS (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
Account information. You can play many of our games without an account. If you create an account or sign in, you can do so with Google, Apple, Discord, or your email address:
We use this information to create and maintain your account, identify you across our Services, link the sign-in methods you choose to the same account, and save the content you create (such as your saved players and game history). You may also choose a display name and a public @handle.
Content you create. We store the in-game players, scores, collections, coins, items, and other content you generate so they can appear on leaderboards, in your profile, and in your personal collection. If you add friends or play other users, we store those connections and match results.
Chat and typed answers. If you post in an in-game chat, we store your messages along with any reports, blocks, or moderation actions so we can keep chat safe. In some trivia-style games, the answers you type may be checked by an AI service provider (see Section 8) to decide whether they are correct. Please do not type personal information into chat or answer boxes.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications in our iOS app, we store a device token and your notification preferences (such as the time of day and the game you play most) so we can send them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Payment information. If you purchase a product or service from us (for example, an ad-free experience or other digital goods), your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly; we may receive limited transaction information such as a confirmation of payment, the amount, the date, and a partial card identifier.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:
This information is collected through analytics and advertising technologies described in Sections 3 through 5.
We use the information we collect to:
We and our third-party partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences and login session, measure usage, and deliver and measure advertising.
Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. If you disable cookies, some features of the Services may not function properly. You can also manage advertising-related cookies using the opt-out tools described in Section 5.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors interact with the Services. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as how often users visit, what pages they view, and what other sites they used before arriving. We use this information to improve the Services.
Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also use PostHog, a product analytics service, on a sample of devices to see which parts of the game players reach and where they stop, and to compare versions of a feature. It receives anonymous events (for example, a page view or a finished career) tied to a random device identifier, not your name or email. For a small share of first-time visitors on phones, PostHog may record the session (taps, scrolling and what appeared on screen) so we can find confusing steps; anything typed into a text field is hidden from these recordings. PostHog's handling of this data is governed by the PostHog Privacy Policy.
All or partial advertising on this Website or App is managed by Playwire LLC. If Playwire publisher advertising services are used, Playwire LLC may collect and use certain aggregated and anonymized data for advertising purposes. To learn more about the types of data collected, how data is used and your choices as a user, please visit https://www.playwire.com/privacy-policy.
Playwire and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on the Services and other sites and apps over time in order to deliver advertising that is more relevant to you and to measure its performance. Playwire uses a Common ID tracking cookie that is enabled by default to allow advertisers to serve targeted ads. You may opt out of this and other interest-based advertising using the industry tools below.
You can learn about and opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the following industry tools:
In our iOS app, ads (including optional videos you can watch for an in-game reward) are served through Playwire and AppLovin and their partners, which may use your device's advertising identifier where your device settings allow it. You can limit this in your device's privacy and tracking settings.
Partner offers. Some screens show offers from partners, such as Polymarket. These offers are only for adults 18 and older in eligible locations, as stated on each offer. If you tap a partner link, we may record that the link was tapped, and the partner may learn that you came from GoatLab. If you claim an in-game gift for signing up with a partner, we ask for the email address you used with that partner so the partner can confirm your sign-up. What you do on the partner's site is governed by that partner's own terms and privacy policy.
If you purchase an ad-free product, we will limit or remove advertising on the Services in accordance with that product's description.
Purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When you make a payment, you provide your payment details directly to Stripe, and Stripe processes that information as a data controller and/or processor under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Your use of Stripe's payment services is subject to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account information as described in Section 11.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Delete your account in the app or on the site. While signed in, open the menu, choose Delete account in the account section, and confirm permanent deletion. This removes the account and its saved progress, linked sign-ins, friends, coins and inventory. An active GoatLab Pro subscription is canceled as part of deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, and the right to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at matt@goat-lab.app. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.
In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as email address, name, and online identifiers); commercial information (such as products or services purchased); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as usage and device data); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and inferences drawn for advertising. We collect this information from you directly and automatically through the technologies described in this policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies that share identifiers with third parties (such as Playwire and Google) may be considered "selling" or "sharing" under the CCPA. You can opt out by adjusting your browser cookie settings and by using the industry opt-out tools listed in Section 5. To submit a request, you may also contact us at matt@goat-lab.app.
To submit a request to know, delete, correct, or opt out, email us at matt@goat-lab.app. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, which may require you to confirm information associated with your account. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. When a new account is created, we ask for a birth month and year. We keep only whether the person is 13 or older and when they answered, never the date itself. If the answer is under 13, the new account is deleted right away and the person can keep playing without an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at matt@goat-lab.app and we will take steps to delete such information.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. If we make material changes, we will take additional steps to notify you where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
